The Collectors Finest is a free app for sports card collectors. It helps you record, assess and organise your own collection and shows market data from public listings. The provider is the person named in the legal notice.
Use is free of charge. There are no in-app purchases and no subscription. Should that change, it will apply to future features only and will be announced clearly beforehand.
On first launch an anonymous account is created automatically. You may additionally give yourself a pseudonym (“alias”) and an avatar. You are responsible for keeping your device out of other people’s hands — access is tied to the device, not to a password.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account & data). We may suspend or delete an account in case of persistent or serious breaches of these terms; we will tell you and give reasons.
You are responsible for content you upload or publish — photos, alias, avatar, showcase entries. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to it.
You grant us the simple, royalty-free right to display and store that content within the app to the extent necessary for its operation. We will not sell your content, will not license it and will not use it for advertising. If you delete a piece of content or your account, that right ends.
Please note: uploaded card photos become the shown image of that card and are therefore visible to other users. Do not upload photos showing people, addresses, identity documents or other private things.
This section fulfils the transparency obligations of Art. 14 and the notice-and-action mechanism of Art. 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act).
You can report any showcase entry and any collector directly in the app: long-press the entry, then Report, and pick a reason. Alternatively, an email to the address given on the support page is enough; please describe as precisely as you can which content you mean and why you consider it illegal or against the rules. You receive an immediate confirmation that your report has arrived.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Review is done by a human — there is no automated content moderation, no filtering and no algorithmic pre-decision. We decide diligently, non-arbitrarily and without regard to the person.
Depending on severity: leave the content up, remove it, take it out of the public lists, or suspend the account.
If we remove or restrict something, we inform the affected person and give reasons — naming the content concerned, the ground, and the legal basis or rule we rely on (Art. 17 DSA). You can complain about any decision informally by email; we will then review it again. Recourse to the courts remains open to you regardless.
Independently of reports, you can block any collector. They then disappear from your lists and from the showcase, without being notified and without being restricted themselves.
All prices in the app are observed asking prices from public listings — not confirmed sales. Assessments by the app regarding a card’s centering or condition are the app’s own assessments and are not professional grading. Nothing in this app is investment, financial, tax or purchase advice, nor a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any card. Your decisions are your own.
Pull rates are the statistical disclosures published by manufacturers for physical trading-card products. The app contains no gambling, no stake, no chance-based mechanic and no payout.
The app is provided without any availability guarantee; maintenance and outages are possible. We are liable under the statutory provisions in cases of intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breach of an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to proper use, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of agreement. Otherwise liability is excluded. Rights under the German Product Liability Act remain unaffected.
We give no warranty for the accuracy or completeness of market and catalogue data; it originates from public sources and from the manufacturers.
We may change these terms as the app develops or as the legal situation requires. Substantial changes will be announced in the app. If you disagree, you can delete your account at any time.
German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protective provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
